Karen turned around to see Todd leaning down from his horse and for a moment she didn’t know what to say. “Uh, huh” she found herself mumbling.
“You seem to be dressed perfectly for that” he said looking down at her
Karen smiled, she was wearing form fitting jeans with a denim shirt that day “Yeah I guess so, but I think I’ll walk” she said with a smile.
“As you wish” Todd touched his hat and slowly galloped away
Even though Karen’s heart had started beating fast on seeing Todd and the events of last night flooded back in, Todd’s cool, unenthusiastic reception somewhat cooled her down.
